It’s no secret that I love Scandinavian design with clean lines, and bold & contrasting colours. This was exactly what I had in mind when I designed the shelf over my couch. I really enjoyed the process of deciding on frame sizes and their placement, but the real fun started when I had to pick the artwork inside the frames.

My House
If you were following me while I was pregnant, you probably remember my nesting phase this past summer!
I took advantage of my early mat leave and had every closet in my house turned inside out and re-organized. These drawers for baby were set-up during that phase too. This video is for new moms, organization junkies and moms-to-be who might be in the same crazy nesting stage! Actually, it’s for myself too because I love this simple, inexpensive and practical drawer system so much that I really wanted to film it! 😃

My Ramadan Decor
written by The Inspired Accountant
I can’t believe we are less than a week away from Ramadan! This year I really wanted to decorate a corner of my house that celebrates this blessed month. With a little kids at home, I think it’s very important to visually mark such religious occasions. Follow me on Instagram for more on this topic.
As always, I kept my décor very simple. I also unintentionally ended up keeping in line with my Black & White & Pink living room colour scheme. I guess I just gravitate towards those colours. I’m so happy with how it turned out, because it’s all nice and coordinated with my living room now. It’s also drawing from the beautiful spring weather that we have right now.
The best part about it though was how easy and simple it was!
The last time we decorated and did a little get together for my daughter’s birthday was on her 1st birthday. Now that she was turning 5 (still asking myself where all these years went!), I decided to do something special to make it memorable. And I’m so glad I did!
I love party planning but I’m guilty of also being very last minute! It’s just so hard to make time for it with work and everything else you have to do in the evenings and on the weekends. I started planning for this little birthday on the Wednesday of my one-week March Break, and hosted the little birthday family get-together on Saturday (3 days later).

Hi all! I’m so excited to be sharing my kitchen organization project with you all and inspire you to organize yours.
The Kitchen Stuff Plus Organization Event is currently on, which means almost all organization items are on sale. Everything that I got from the store for my kitchen can be found on one page here. You can use my discount code “inspiredaccountant-10” until Feb 11th, 2018 to get an additional 10% off your purchase on-line and in-store. Don’t miss this opportunity to get things under control in your kitchen 😉
Let me tell you – it’s one of those projects that are super tiring but so rewarding! I had thoroughly organized my kitchen in mid-2016 and had now reached a point where, except for some everyday-use items, I had to forage for items in my cabinets every time I needed them. This year, a major goal of mine is to get all organized on the “inside.” I feel like I always pay attention to my house decor and furniture, but I tend to ignore the mess behind closed closet and pantry doors. Very naughty, I know haha! So when Kitchen Stuff Plus reached out to me during their organization event (happening now till Feb 11th), the timing couldn’t have been better! I’m loving the idea of starting the new year with an organized kitchen!
As you all know, I was talking about my holiday dinner and tablescape on Instagram since the beginning of November. I really wanted to do something a little special with my dining area and invite my family over during the Christmas holidays for a memorable get-together. I love decorating little spaces and creating vignettes so I take any excuse to do that!
But when December finally rolled around, so did this crazy cold weather we’ve had in Toronto along with all sorts of viruses. My daughter, my husband and I were all down with colds and fevers on and off for what seemed like three weeks. I ended up calling my guests and telling them that I had to postpone the dinner which was originally planned for Christmas day. I’m sure they were glad to hear it because who wants to come over and eat at a house full of sick people anyway, haha!
My party ended up being more like a New Year’s Eve get-together, which was perfect. We had such a great time, and can I just say – my dining table really stole the spotlight 😛

Hi guys!!!
I’m finally starting to work on my basement family room that I’ve been talking about for so long on Instagram! Here’s a couple of before/after shots. What a difference! I mean… does it even look like the same space?!
Hey guys!
The weather here in Toronto has been unusually warm for the end of September… with heat warnings and all! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I even headed to the beach last weekend. But we Canadians know better than to complain about that because it’s going to be -20 degrees before we can say ‘winter’! Point in case – even though the weather has been warm, it hasn’t kept me from getting excited about the beauty of fall.
