It’s no secret that I love Scandinavian design with clean lines, and bold & contrasting colours. This was exactly what I had in mind when I designed the shelf over my couch. I really enjoyed the process of deciding on frame sizes and their placement, but the real fun started when I had to pick the artwork inside the frames. (more…)
As you all know, I was talking about my holiday dinner and tablescape on Instagram since the beginning of November. I really wanted to do something a little special with my dining area and invite my family over during the Christmas holidays for a memorable get-together. I love decorating little spaces and creating vignettes so I take any excuse to do that!
But when December finally rolled around, so did this crazy cold weather we’ve had in Toronto along with all sorts of viruses. My daughter, my husband and I were all down with colds and fevers on and off for what seemed like three weeks. I ended up calling my guests and telling them that I had to postpone the dinner which was originally planned for Christmas day. I’m sure they were glad to hear it because who wants to come over and eat at a house full of sick people anyway, haha!
My party ended up being more like a New Year’s Eve get-together, which was perfect. We had such a great time, and can I just say – my dining table really stole the spotlight 😛 (more…)

I’m finally starting to work on my basement family room that I’ve been talking about for so long on Instagram! Here’s a couple of before/after shots. What a difference! I mean… does it even look like the same space?! (more…)
The weather here in Toronto has been unusually warm for the end of September… with heat warnings and all! If you follow me on Instagram, then you know that I even headed to the beach last weekend. But we Canadians know better than to complain about that because it’s going to be -20 degrees before we can say ‘winter’! Point in case – even though the weather has been warm, it hasn’t kept me from getting excited about the beauty of fall. (more…)
If you’re looking to add some cute decor accessories to your home and don’t have anything specific in mind, then this post, my friend, is for you! I have handpicked some IKEA accessories that I think are absolute steals. They are multi-functional, aesthetically pleasing, and will definitely add a lot of style to your space. Above all, they are super affordable (all under $19.99)! I do have most of these accessories in my house but a couple of them are on my IKEA wish list. So wherever possible, I’ve included pictures of how I use these accessories in my own house to give you some ideas on styling.
If you aren’t already following me on Instagram, make sure you do that to see the behind the scenes of all my decorating (and life)!
So let’s get into the list, shall we?
I think you all know that I LOVE IKEA! I can spend hours on end at that store and not get tired. In fact, I’ve taken you guys along for shopping to IKEA with me many times on my insta-stories. What I love most about this furniture giant is that it makes it so easy for you to achieve that clean, sleek and bold Scandinavian look without breaking your bank. I have a lot of stuff from Ikea, and I want to share with you all my favourites over a series of blogposts, starting first with Ikea Sofas. (more…)
So excited to share this post with you! 😀 I just finished making this cute little birdie wall art for my dining room and I’m gonna show you how you can too. All pics are from my iPhone and not exactly “blog-quality” but bear with me:
Hello! Is anybody there?
So I finally thought it was time to come back to this blog after years and years of being quiet. I can say I didn’t update this blog all these years because I was busy and blah blah blah. But the truth is simple – my priorities changed. And boy did they change quickly and drastically!
