My DIY Ramadan Decor

I can’t believe we are less than a week away from Ramadan! This year I really wanted to decorate a corner of my house that celebrates this blessed month. With a little kid in the home, I think it’s very important to visually mark such religious occasions.

As always, I kept my décor very simple. I also unintentionally ended up keeping in line with my Black & White & Pink living room colour scheme. I guess I just gravitate towards those colours. I’m so happy with how it turned out, because it’s all nice and coordinated with my living room now. It’s also drawing from the beautiful spring weather that we have right now.

The best part about it though was how easy and simple it was!

DIY Ramadan Mubarak Banner, Moons and Stars

  • I used Digital Files provided by Sidra Art Boutique and had them printed on card stock paper at Staples. You can use regular paper as well, however, card stock definitely holds its shape better.
  • Then I sat down with a pair of scissors and cut out all the cute little moons and stars, as well as the gorgeous floral Ramadan Mubarak banner every so carefully. It was so therapeutic. I even got my little brother and husband involved and it was fun to see how much they got into it.
  • Then I used a hole punch to make holes in the cut pieces and used my wire from Micheals to make hanging banners that I stuck to the wall with tape.

Handmade Ramadan Stockings

I used the cutest felt handmade stocking from The Inspired Home Co shop on Etsy and hung them on my staircase along with some starry stringlights from IKEA. I absolutely adore them and can’t wait to add some fun little treats in them for my daughter during Ramadan and later for Eid. This is definitely my daughter’s favourite little corner at the moment.

Store-Bought Items

Keeping in line with the Moon & Star theme, I couldn’t resist when I saw the gold moon planters and the metal moon phase wall hanging at Urban Outfitters. They were the perfect gold that tied in the gold strips on my fireplace and gave the whole look at more chic feel.

Previous Décor Items

Other items have just been fetched from my around my house – the cushions, candle stands and floral arrangements.

Did you decorate for Ramadan this year? Hope this gives you some ideas 🙂 Until next time, Ciao Ciao!
